available in the market. First Clear is generally 3 sides clear. We inspect practically
every load in the source country; not just for grade, but also for proper kiln
drying, planing quality and trim accuracy.

We occasionally carry special buys on short lengths and Select Grade material. Selects
have approximately 2 out of 10 pieces that have small, non-structural defects; our Select Grade also allows
natural color variation but is still 100% naturally durable heart wood with no sap allowed. Select
grade material is a fantastic value when it's available.

best values available in naturally durable, exterior decking. Not as dense and hard as Ipe, Angelim Pedra
is much easier to install for the average DIY home owner.
And it looks great with a medium to dark natural oil finish. We recommend Duckback Walnut Oil Finish from
SuperDeck - this product will enhance the natural color and protect the wood.
Brazilian Redwood | Massaranduba Decking
Brazilian Redwood Decking - We've got limited availability
of Brazilian Redwood. It makes an absolutely beautiful deck. We like Brazilian Redwood in 4" widths because it
has a tendency to be less stable than Ipe or Cumaru. Its strength properties are off-the-chart and it is one
of the hardest species of wood available.
We always recommend a high quality penetrating oil finish on Brazilian Redwood. This helps seal the product and
helps to prevent checking and excessive shrinkage or expansion. The deep red color is absolutely stunning and an oil
finish will help to preserve the appearance. We do not recommend Brazilian Redwood in close-to-ground applications
as it has a tendency to cup more than the other hardwood decking products we sell.
